Our Story
Origins
Agartha began from a shared desire for genuine well-being. Our founders, Siddharth Ramsundar and Gina Johnson, each came to a shared philosophy through their own challenges, questions, and lived experience.
Despite growing up hunting, Gina was persuaded to try veganism by modern “science", but as her health unexpectedly declined, she realized there was a missing piece to the puzzle. Meanwhile, Sid's path was shaped by his vegetarian upbringing and his struggles with chronic neurodegeneration and persistent insomnia. Determined to find solutions, he dove deep into the world of nutrition, supplementation, and self-optimization.
Sid and Gina met while studying for their respective degrees at UCLA, around the time they both were realizing the way science is taught is flawed. In 2021, they had just began to eat meat around the same time, and discovered a shared understanding born from their unique experiences.
Together, they recognized the transformative power of their balanced approach to living
Agartha then emerged as a way for them to provide clarity amidst the noise, giving people guidance on their wellness journeys, and allowing them to foster a community of like-minded individuals striving to unlock their full potential.
Sid leads formulation, experimentation, and testing. His work is focused on building precise products and systems from years of self-experimentation.
Gina leads creative direction, food philosophy, gardening and self-reliance. She has a deeply refined relationship with nature. Her background in hunting, gardening and cooking gives Agartha its roots in the real world.
